Striker Raul has said he intends to fulfil his contract at Schalke this season.
The 34-year-old former Spain international, who has been the subject of transfer speculation, told the Spanish news agency EFE Sunday he was happy in the German Bundesliga.
"My wife and children are completely integrated into life in Germany, and it makes me proud to be in the Bundesliga," he was quoted as saying.
Raul, whose contract runs until the end of the season, recently turned down an approach from Premier League side Blackburn Rovers.
He was left out of the squad for Schalke's Europa League play-off match at HJK Helsinki Thursday, fuelling speculation of a move before the August 31 transfer deadline.
German media had spoken of differences with coach Ralf Rangnick over his role in the side, but Raul said his relations with Rangnick, who took over from Felix Magath in March, were "good, correct and professional - the way it should be between a player and a coach."
